I grew up on a dairy farm in Western Ohio.  The first half of my career includes a great deal of experience in grain industry including grain merchandising, grain trading, extensive experience in hedging and the futures industry.  The second half experience in purchasing management for CPG and industrial food manufacturing. 

After the doors closed on the food ingredient purchasing consultancy and management where I worked for 8 years (2011), a long time interest in programing and technology came together with my professional experiences which resulted in a Data as a Service (DaaS) business startup that was targeted to ag sector analysts, data scientists, academia and consultants.  The idea was to automate the aggregate the data from wherever it was, and whatever form and condition, then delivering instantly, right where they want, always up-to-date and ready to use with an easy button. 

This business led me to the folks in Cargill in Wichita Kansas, for whom I now work in the Protein & Salt enterprise, where I currently function as an analyst involved in beef, pork and poultry S & D's and related data science type work for procurement and the price risk management.
